I’ve posted a new addition to my collection of photos of manmade objects. This one is called Oilhead, and you guessed it, it’s the top of an oil well. These are found randomly throughout the farmlands of Wayne County. This was taken on a fairly clear day about an hour before sunset. To see the full sized version, click here.
Because of the singularity of these wells as they crop up from field to field, I’ve found them interesting since moving to this area. There’s also the advantage of being able to get rather close to them, which makes them attractive targets. This particular well is located in the farmland area near West Salem. Technical details: ISO 100, f8 @ 1/80 sec, 28mm lens.
